UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. — Conrad Tucker, assistant professor of engineering design and industrial engineering, and director of the Penn State site of the Center for Health Organization Transformation, and Sunghoon Lim, Phd candidate in industrial engineering and CHOT scholar, recently had an article accepted for publication.
The collaborative work, “An unsupervised machine learning model for discovering latent infectious diseases using social media data” will be published in an upcoming issue of Elsevier’s Journal of Biomedical Informatics.
Tucker and Lim’s work on this research are part of Penn State CHOT’s strong history of working collaboratively across multiple units, engaging health care providers as partners in applied research, and working closely with students to address research needs of the relevant industry partners.
